    My favorite scene from RUSH

RUSH, the story of a motorcycle gang member who falls for a Somali Bantu refugee is now live on Amazon.

The ebook RUSH is available for sale on Amazon

My D’oh! moment:  I have the US participation in Somalia listed as Operation Freedom when it was Operation Restore Hope. I plan to correct that today.  Okay, the edit is done. Now KDP has to update the Look Inside feature and the ebook itself.

Here’s my favorite scene from the book:

Kerai, my second mother is watching TV in Ba’ba’s room. It is a bedroom they share at night, but it is his room when he comes home from work. She is very active, giggling and hollering at me to come in and close the door. “Aaliyah, what is it they are doing? He is having mani?”

On the TV, two people are rolling around on a bed. I sit down on my father’s bed, looking around the room at all he has. I did not know he enjoyed reading so many books. When I see the covers, they are of American celebrities with very big smiles.

“Aaliyah, watch them!” Kerai grabs my arm, looking over at me and laughing. “Oh, they are naked!”

RUSH Sneak Peek excerpt on Amazon

Hopefully, readers will want to purchase the full book. If you can, please spread the word.

    Why should you read RUSH?

    Motorcycles. Money. Mayhem. RUSH
    Motorcycles. Money. Mayhem. RUSH

Come for the romance. Stay for the storyline of a motorcycle gang member who tries to balance his love for a Somali Bantu refugee with his criminal lifestyle.

    From the novel:

“All it took was a timid finger to graze over my balls and I had a surge of lust. I started pumping like I’d been energized. Aaliyah crossed her arms around my neck and held on for the ride of her life, because I was hitting her spot hard. How did I know it was getting good to her? Because for the first time she was matching me thrust for thrust and moan for moan.”  – Aiden “Ghost” De Lucca of RUSH

Just for RUSH Week: Another excerpt

I’ve got another excerpt from RUSH:

RUSH - For her love he'll take a stand
RUSH – For her love he’ll take a stand

    AIDEN:

The very first time I saw Aaliyah it was snowing. I had to go out and shovel in front of the clubhouse because Turk didn’t like snow blocking the door. A bunch of women who looked like big ass penguins were running after some kids that were trying to catch snowflakes in their hands and their mouths.

In preparation I’m creating a number of GIFS that readers can use, which will also  post on Saturday. With every GIF you take (and use) you help promote Wikkid.Sexy.Cool. Where multicultural romance rules!

One more “gift” is an excerpt from a section of RUSH:

    She made the first move.
I was replacing the spring plate on my bike’s kick stand when the wrench was blown clear outta my hand by a half flattened soccer ball. I got up from a squat, ready to do some serious butt kicking when I saw Aaliyah in the middle of the street.

“Sorry about that. Can you give us back our ball?” she said, not looking the least bit sorry. I don’t know where her father was, but she sure wasn’t wearing a headscarf or a long skirt. It seemed like she’d borrowed a pair of her brother’s shorts.

    Race and Romance

I’ve decided to write a few blogs posts regarding Race and Romance, to be housed in another section of this site. I hope to put up the first post this Saturday, since I’m using the long weekend off from work to hunker down and get more stories finished.

A few novellas I’ve created covers for that I’m currently working on are below, and they feature a number of older characters. I think all these models are stunningly beautiful women and I’m committed to the creation of works that feature diversity, but also making certain my covers represent not just African American women, but women of color from around the globe who are far too often under-represented in romance:

Valerius Rex, a sword and sandals tale set during the Fourth Crusade
