Just north of Yasukuni-dori Avenue, Shibuya’s Kabukichō was a red light district made up of maze like streets crammed with all sorts of adult entertainment. Neon lit candy colored shop fronts beckoned like Venus Fly traps. There were any number of sex shops, massage parlors, host and hostess clubs, love hotels, and places to eat, sleep and shop. It was a seedy fantasy land with Lego like buildings stacked one on top of another, buildings that seemed to be there to simply house ads and jumbo-tron screens. Androgynous pretty boys and anime cartoon character females enticed visitors to come on in. Towering over it all was the iconic monster Godzilla, with his gleaming, demon orange eyes, illuminated talons and mouth widened in a fang filled roar. The streets were overcrowded, noisy and energized with gawkers and the adventurous. Every few steps a pushy Nigerian lad would try to get males to frequent his host club. This area was like home to Nyesha. It infused her with life and renewed her spirits. With so many attractions packed together the whole place was akin to being inside a life-sized pinball machine, where she was the ball.
People got around on foot, scooters and bicycles. Many of the streets weren’t large enough for two cars, but there was always a stretch limo slowly cruising by. In the daytime Kabukichō was a dreary place, like a vampire confined to his coffin until the night sets him free. While police would sweep through the area in their black and red vests, the Yakuza ran Kabukichō.
Ojiro Mori, aka Mr. O stood by his Ferrari 458 Speciale convertible, his eyes shielded by sunglasses, his skin reddened instead of tanned. In the passenger side of his white sports car was a stunning black girl wearing a floral headscarf. Nyesha guessed the girl’s age to be less than 21, but over 12.
“Ojiro,” Nyesha said, one of the only people who dared to call him by his first name.
Instead of speaking he simply nodded. The girl in the car caught his cue, lowering her head.
Nyesha fought against feelings of revulsion and anger over the girl’s situation. What she couldn’t control were the images of the past that came roaring into her mind. “Kimochii” was a word she’d have to whisper in a childish, high pitched squeal to let the client know what he was doing felt good. Even when it didn’t.
I’ve been splitting my time between writing, filming and working a 9-5. Because I’m super critical and downright obsessive about what I shoot and how it looks, I’m trying to add to my skill set regarding cinematography and audio production with additional classes on independent filmmaking. I realize none of this could have been possible without the readers who bought my ebooks, so again, I must give a great big grateful thank you!
I’ve got new books coming out shortly, so please look out for them!
And another, and still others as I work to build my own brand in the world of publishing.
For example, the historical fantasy novel Long Ago and Far Away, featuring these two lovers:
Spawned these sister-witches:
An extended sneak peek of Long Ago and Far Away will be up on Amazon later this week.
That book somehow inspired this novella on a young black woman raised by a religious cult, and how she’s instrumental in taking the leader down. Here’s a promo I’ve worked on for the novel:
Look for the ebook CHERISH in May.
Finally, I’ve got another book featuring an Asian leading man and an African leading lady. Nyesha is from Nigeria, and Takeshi is Japanese.

What I’m up to: Finishing a number of books for release.
The edited stock photos below originally featured white couples. I’m going to post these now newly made IR couples to my WSC Romance Image Gallery
More to come . . .
So, this year I’ve added adult fiction to my YA, New Adult and YA paranormal bookshelf.
Next up will be a greater focus on my Afro-futurism works, like:
Download December continues!!
More free sneak peeks will be available after X-MAS!
I created a new site promo for social media:
Diversity with a Difference means being inclusive, and for several upcoming releases I concentrated on broadening the diversity of the romantic leads. That’s all I’ll say for now
I’m going to keep this short, since it’s all about Hui and Imani right now, as I’m focused on the marketing (ads and book trailer) prior to the release of this novel.
More promos for my trio of sister-witches:
See, what happened was . . .
The youngest sister witch of the trio is PAGAN:
Let me first start out by saying how disappointed I am with the new TV season. Specifically, the way black female leads on shows like Sleepy Hollow, Vampire Diaries and Minority Report are getting short changed.
I’d really hoped that Sleepy Hollow would get back on track with Abby and Crane, but no. So while I love me some Lance Gross, even his addition can’t help the show now.
With season two destroying the story line from season one (and thereby ensuring the show’s demise), Sleepy Hollow has devolved into the leads battling a “monster of the week” with no real center. On Vampire Diaries Bonnie is a witch with no real powers and the writers still can’t seem to figure out who to pair her with romantically. Minority Report? Again, while there is a black female lead on the show, unlike her male counterpart in the movie Minority Report, Vega has no family, no real backstory, and soon the show may have no viewers.
I’m still watching these shows, but as their ratings continue to drop, I don’t see any of them staying on the air.
I won’t even get into Heroes Reborn killing off The Haitian (a fave character of mine, and a very bad move imho on the show’s part). And while I do still watch Empire . . . I think I better stop right there.
So, in short, two new characters of mine were borne out of frustration. Asian American Thomas Nomad and my badass female lead, NIM. Breaking the rules of engagement regarding otherworldly beings, Thomas and NIM’s relationship is sexy, SEXUAL and fluid
This is another post I’ll need to come back to, but in the meantime here are more edited photos I’ve worked on to promote my ebooks:
To be continued:
“Bruh” saves the world
Misty Copeland is now a principal dancer for the American Ballet Theater:
“Even as her promotion was celebrated by her many fans, it raised all-too-familiar questions about why African-American dancers, particularly women, remain so underrepresented at top ballet companies in the 21st century, despite the work of pioneering black dancers who broke racial barriers in the past. And it showed how media and communications have changed in dance, with Ms. Copeland deftly using modern tools — an online ad she made for Under Armour has been viewed more than 8 million times — to spread her fame far beyond traditional dance circles, drawing new audiences to ballet.”
It took individuals both within and outside of ballet to publicly support Misty Copeland for this to happen, imho.
And let me also add: IT’S ABOUT DAMN TIME. For more ballet trailblazers of color, please see this post: http://wikkidsexycool.com/2015/02/11/dance-trailblazers/
So, as I ready HUI for release, an ebook that features a fictional African American ballerina going for the Holy Grail like Miss Copeland, please take note that at this moment, Misty is the one and only. That’s right. For whatever reason, Miss Copeland is the only black woman in the role of principal dancer in a major US ballet company.
Outside of Meredith’s office a number of dance students lingered in the hallway, waiting for their classes to begin. Some used the walls to support their weight as they stretched. Others utilized the comfort of the crowded floor. Making her way among the maze of human parts, Imani was almost mowed down by a younger group of students bursting out of one of the classrooms. Their excited chatter and giggles reminded her of the tiny dance academy she’d once attended. It was encouraging to see the diversity of the group and their excitement at seeing her.
“That’s Imani,” she heard one little girl whisper to the others as if Imani was on the cusp of greatness. “She’s so beautiful! I wanted to come here after I saw her perform at my grammar school,” the same little girl said, apparently not realizing how far her voice carried.
Little Big Men:
I’m jumping back into the NA genre with a duology about a small town and the jocks at the center of a suspense filled love story.
Honoring the Past:
Original Photo of a black woman during the Victorian period:
Listening to: Sade’s Kiss of Life and Mariah Carey’s Sweet Fantasy. I loved the movie BELLE
So I used the film as inspiration for a Gothic erotic romance that spans several time periods. Excerpts from Ivy League and the dark fantasy Long Ago and Far Away will be up shortly.
I really enjoy creating ebook covers by pairing interracial couples together. I’ve got a number of new excerpts to put up, but here are a few new things I’m working on. I’m still deciding whether to make certain books serials (release a few chapters at a time on Amazon) or complete novels.
My sincere apologies for the week long silence. HUI should be out any day now for those readers wondering when Le Jong Hui and Imani Fairchild’s tale will be told.
HUI – an interracial romance set in the world of ballet
I’ve written a couple of books that feature teen witches (Damalia from RAZHER, Malia Toussaint from Boys ‘n Love and Magic). So once another story came to be, I figured it would be the perfect vehicle to introduce a trio of sexy, adult African American witches who reside in the present time period.
Like Imani, a ballet dancer who waited for her chance to shine in the novel HUI, I’ve got a number of other novels in both the adult genre and new adult genre that I’m currently editing in order to release.
One of my earliest novels dealt with females – specifically a fictional group of gritty women on a navy vessel with interconnecting story lines. I’m going to put up an excerpt shortly. Right now I’m focused on getting HUI ready for release.
The Player is currently on sale at Amazon.com. It’s also part of KU/Kindle Unlimited.
At Last, The Player and TAKEN are interconnecting stories that occur in the same timeline. The next erotic romance is about Sanai.
TAKEN is Sanai’s story, and readers get to see Harlow, Kyle, Torii, and Ethan work to get not only Sanai back on her feet, but ex-football player and Kyle’s brother, Scott McClure. I’ll have the first chapter up shortly.
Blurb: Sanai’s been almost fanatical in her pursuit of the man who got away. But all that stopped when she found out her competition was none other than her own sister. Overwhelmed by hurt, Sanai begins a downward spiral, forcing an unexpected suitor to step in. But is she ready to forgive and forget? Or will her need for revenge destroy any chance at happiness?
This is a short novella that will be released in April. Also, HUI will be out any day now.
My Wednesdays will never be the same now that EMPIRE is on hiatus until the fall. I’m so happy for Taraji P. Henson, as well as the other stars of the show.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I need to get back to a few of my older novels in order to take them forward with their sequels. JUKEBOX II is also on that list:
I’m going to include JUKEBOX One in the MARCH MADNESS deals that kick off this week:
Hold on, because Hui and The Player are coming.
I didn’t meet my own deadline of this weekend, but the books will be out in the coming days (this week).
I’ve decided to put The Player in play during MARCH MADNESS, as well as a few other novels. The novels will be .99 cents and also be available via Kindle Unlimited. Only HUI will be priced at $2.99.
I’d like to once again thank everyone who purchased AT LAST. Torii Theas is also in The Player, but I made sure to focus on the main couple, Kyle and Harlow.
Since I’m so close to releasing these two books, I’m not putting up anymore excerpts from these two novels, however an edited excerpt from
RUSH: The Book of Aaliyah is now up:
I’m busy working to get HUI and The Player released this weekend, as I try to figure out which novels will be part of MARCH MADNESS
I’ve decided that after HUI is released, I’ll complete the next round of edits on books that need to go on sale.
I haven’t forgotten about my book sequels. The excerpt for RUSH 2 will be up this weekend:
