In the sequel to the YA novel The Stone Boy, The Stone Hero follows Nicole and Derek five years after Nicole’s younger brother’s disappearance and the legal separation of her parents. Derek has returned home from his first tour of duty as a Marine, while Nicole pursues an advanced degree in Social work.
