Readers, I hope this post finds you and your loved ones safe and well.
I pray for us all.
My upcoming NCAA basketball love story:
Meet Yul Sukari, All American. A southeast asian leading man and athletic marvel. Yul has one goal in mind, and that’s to play in the NBA.
But what happens when transfer student Rhea Chappelle doesn’t fall for the big man on campus? Is playing for the NBA still number one on Yul’s list, or is numero uno now all about winning Rhea’s heart?
College basketball season is winding down, but I’m ramping up with new books that feature female players:
Emanuelle is a character who continues my Sex and the Single Paraplegic Series. The first book featured Torii and Ethan in At Last:
My other basketball heroine:
Her love interest:
Before I go into the Raptors thrilling game six win, here’s another promo I’ve created for my New Adult collegiate basketball ebook One on One:
Congratulations to the Toronto Raptors. Game 6 of the NBA Finals came down to the wire, with the Raptors winning a 114-110 victory over the Golden State Warriors. This is the first title for the Raptors, and they also made history with point guard Jeremy Lin:
“After the Toronto Raptors won the NBA championship against the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 on Thursday, point guard Jeremy Lin became the first Asian American player to take home a ring. Cleveland Cavaliers’ Jordan Clarkson, who is of Filipino descent, made it to last year’s finals, but did not take home a championship. ”
It’s important to note that Jeremy is the first Asian American, that’s why I have it in bold. The first Asian was Mengke Bateer with the 2003 San Antonio Spurs. The second Asian to win a ring played for the 2009 NBA Champs Los Angeles Lakers and his name is Sun Yue.
The Raptors Pascal Siakam also made history as the first player from Cameroon to win an NBA Championship ring.
I’m a big fan of Jeremy Lin. His NBA journey is a study of hard work and talent.
In my fictional story about an Indonesian collegiate star, Yohan Sukari uses Jeremy Lin as a role model in his own quest to become an NBA player.
I’ve had to rediscover my love of writing, due to my mom’s death and a change in my family duties. Books were put on hold, but I plan on releasing new ones this month. I thank all readers for your patience during this trying time.
What I love about writing is the ability to world build as I see fit (but still within the confines of reality when creating fiction based on real life). That’s why I’m excited about the upcoming New Adult offerings, like the basketball romance ONE on ONE.
This book focuses on two elite NCAA basketball players, one male and one female. The supporting characters include Hispanic and LGBTQ voices, because being inclusive is one of the reasons I decided to self-publish.
Make-up sex is the greatest thing ever.
Rhea Chappelle realizes resistance is futile once big man Yohan Sukari turns on the charm, in the New Adult erotic romance One on One:
Adults at play:
He’s a comedian. She’s an up and coming singer in the 1950s during segregation:
Got treated to dinner and the film Aquaman by my family. We all really enjoyed the film.
The visuals were great, and James Wan should be commended for his direction and vision on the picture.
Aquaman AKA Jason Momoa brought a playfulness and his usual smoldering hotness to the character.
Other standouts imho were Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Amber Heard as Princess Mera, Michael Beach as Manta’s dad, and Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna.
Upcoming new adult ebook:
It’s a new year and I’ve got new books to release.
One will include the origin of Werewolf Andre Santana, a member of the NightStalkers:
More witchcraft and black magic gifs, featuring paranormals of color:
I enjoy creating character promos in-between writing and editing my ebooks:
This movie features the beautiful and talented Naomie Harris as its leading lady, and musical superstar RAIN as the male lead. South Korean born Rain is the ninja Raizo, and the film contains an awesome nod to the past with legendary martial artist and film star Shô Kosugi
The Trivago guy (actor Tim Williams) is also an extra in the film (the task force officer who lets Mika give Raizo a drink of water) during the scene below:
“Oh Mika, Mika. I like you more and more” – Rain, from Ninja Assassin
Chinese Royalty. Playboy. Fine as hell. Wealthy beyond measure. And he’s a Gargoyle. That’s Karnage, aka Dà túshā
I’m working on Ondine’s promos (in-between editing my other books). I’d done this earlier one for Lilith and Yuri:
The way I relax while writing and editing (after my nine to five job) is to do promos for my books. Lately I’ve been in a paranormal state of mind, that’s why most of them have been about my trio of witches and their love interests. Here are a few featuring Lilith and her vampire lover Yuri:
Instead of naming my new page on this site “creature feature” I’m going to call it Monsters and Lovers, since it highlights paranormal pairings. Here’s a larger version of the photo widget I created for it:
So, I’ve been reading about the CHARMED reboot and the controversy. Still, I’m very happy for Madeleine Mantock (she’s been cast as one of three sisters, which is Into the Badlands loss after they foolishly killed off her character).
Because I’m getting ready to release new ebooks (novellas and full length stories) I created a few GIFs to promote some of my own paranormal witches:
The Place: Russia. The Paranormal: Lilith
The Place: Today. The Paranormals: Karnage and Pagan
There was a time when black comedians were the hottest ticket in town. A comedic renaissance bloomed in the 60s, where a variety of different funny men and women tickled the fancy of American audiences. Let’s see, there was George Kirby (Kirby was also a master vocal impersonator), Nipsey Russell, Flip Wilson, Redd Foxx, Moms Mabley, Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby, Pigmeat Markham, Dick Gregory, Paul Mooney (also wrote for several other comics, like Richard Pryor), Scoey Mitchell, among others.
Female comics I recall watching on The Ed Sullivan Show included Totie Fields, Joan Rivers, Moms Mabley, Anne Meara, of Stiller and Meara (Ben Stiller’s mom), Phyllis Diller, and Carole Burnett. And of course CBS had the number one female comedian, Lucille Ball (who had other sit-coms after I Love Lucy, which co-starred her then real life husband Desi Arnaz).
I must also mention Jackie Gleason, Frank Gorshin (a wonderful impressionist) and especially the late, great George Carlin, talented funny men who were also popular back in the day.
The Queen of Comedy is the tale of a fictional black comedian, from her youth in the 1920’s, until she’s older and recalls the highs and lows of her career. One such highlight is her time at The Moulin Rouge, a real establishment that broke barriers. I’ve included links on The Moulin Rouge that are below the GIF:
. . . Then came the Moulin Rouge, in 1955, a neon cathedral dedicated to the proposition that the only color that mattered in Vegas was green.

Emmanuel Howard goes after the man she wants:
Another promo for Karnage:
Next up will be The Red Witch of Sorrows, Ondine and Ronin the FireDrake
Just a few more promos I’ve worked on with the Gargoyle Karnage and his lady love, Pagan.
His name is Karnage Xian, brother of cutie-pie Havoc Xian (from the previously released ebook RAZHER):
Karnage is also part of the Nightstalkers:
I made more promos for The Saint of BOYStown, a New Adult IR (Interracial romance).
Here’s a scene from the novel:
There’s a lot going on in this book. There’s race, romance, economic disparity (and not just on the black folk side) That’s all I’ll reveal for now.
Go away Tanner. Go far, far, away. He doesn’t. Instead of pulling out a chair like a normal person would, he leapfrogs over the top of the backrest and plops down next to me, with a tray full of food I’d never eat. I’m allergic to vegetables. I won’t eat rice with gravy, but I will snack on rice with butter. Tanner quizzes me on the lack of eats on my tray, to which I repeat that I’m veggie intolerant.
His eyelashes flutter downward and his fingers steeple as he says grace. There are teachers and other students watching, just as shocked as I am at Tanner’s transformation. When he stops giving thanks he starts in with questioning me. “No, really? You really can’t eat vegetables?” he asks, mixing everything on his plate together before shoveling the stuff in his mouth. It’s such a Cody-like move. I give him a nod of assurance that my lie is the truth. I also can’t stop gawking at all the different foods he’s mixed together.
One side of his face balloons as he tries to eat and talk. “Yeah, Cody convinced me and Justin to eat this way.”
I’m both shocked and truly saddened by the news of Chris Cornell’s death.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family in their time of grief.
In tribute to the power and musical artistry of Chris Cornell, here’s a video of his cover of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean.”
The finale of Into The Badlands is this Sunday, May 21st
Will Sonny and Veil finally reunite? Or will Quinn end up raising baby Henry?
At least ITBL will have 16 episodes next year. The Wuxia fighting on this show is fantastic. Love Daniel Wu as the stoic hero, a killer who’s faithful to the woman he loves, Veil. AMBW yeah!!!!!!
Barry and Iris are still going strong, or are they? This season the show gave us Savitar (Emo Barry) who’s crazy with a capital C. Savitar has vowed to kill Iris, and that’s all I’ll reveal in this post.
I’m just mentioning the very short lived Kara had a crush on Jimmy Olsen. When the show was moved to the CW, that romance was nixed. I mainly watch the show for the Martian Manhunter scenes now.
Gone, but not forgotten:
OUTSIDERS (canceled by WGN America)
I hate getting sick. For the past two years bronchitis has kicked my ass and then some.
I’ve got a lot of catching up to do, so my apologies for the delays. Time to get back to work.
His eyes darted from hers. “You are a woman who knows about men. Is this not so?”
“Er . . . yes, it is.”
“I want to know, I need to learn about women. How to-how to make them happy. How to pleasure them.”
She sat down on a white leather lounger that was so buttery soft her rear end bobbed in delight. Oh yes, she could get used to this. No more sleeping or walking across a cold floor, not when he’d revealed that all the floors were electronically heated. Her smile radiated warmth at the thought. “Okay, what are you into?”
Takeshi cocked his head. “What into?”
“What do you like, what do you fantasize about, what would you like to do to me right now?”
He seemed to be taken aback at her directness. After an excruciatingly long silence, he blurted, “To have you pose, like in art class. I-I would like to draw you without your clothes on.”
Her face registered a whole lot of Really? Really dude? That’s what you wanna do? Draw me instead of fuck me? Nyesha sighed as she stood up, inwardly vowing that no matter what, his lounger would be leaving with her after all this was over. “Will you unzip me?”
He snapped to attention, quickly coming to her aid as she turned around. The zipper came down slowly, the air cool on her back as more of her skin was exposed. With a flick of her hand one shoulder was freed, then the other until the dress slithered down her waist. Before he could step back, in a husky voice she ordered him to touch her breasts. “Go ahead and feel them. It’s something that turns most women on.”
This is a post to thank all those who’ve downloaded the free excerpt of The Saint of BOYStown on Amazon.com. When I created the character of Nathalie Childress, I knew she was someone special. I start the book off with Nat in the first chapter, because that’s how strong the “voice” of the character is. I’ve included another excerpt below that I think readers will enjoy. It goes more into Tanner and Nathalie’s budding romance in the face of tragedy.
“Do you always come up here to talk to yourself?” I ask him.
“Yeah, most times I do. It makes me feel . . . uh, closer.”
I look around. We’re the only two people for miles. “Closer to who?”
Tanner shrugs. “Ah, you know.”
“No I don’t”
“Did you do something different? Your face-”
Oh crap. My little underwater stunt took off all my carefully placed dirt and grime. My face is clean, so he’s able to get a good look at me, especially since the sun is in my eyes. I try to play it off. “I think I’m coming down with something. I think I’ve got a fever.” I muster up a half-hearted cough. “You should stay back. I don’t wanna spread my germs.”
“It’s okay.” He walks closer to the edge and starts talking, almost as if I’m not even there. “I converse with God up here. I do it a lot since the accident. I’m guessing it was God who told me not to get in the car with Cody. I’ve been trying to get God to talk to me again, to answer some questions I have.” This whole conversation is mighty uncomfortable, especially for me, but I don’t interrupt him. “My therapist says it’s called survivor’s guilt.” He does a little shrug, as if it’s no biggie.
“I’ve heard of that,” I add, wishing he’d stop glancing my way, partly because he’s on the edge of a freakin’ mountain. “Wonder why Mason hasn’t experienced what you have?”
I’m putting up a Sneak Peek of The Saint of BOYStown on Amazon.com
In 2015 I put up excerpts on this site and Scribd. What I didn’t do is release it. But I’ve got a digital trail dating back two years.
The lead character is a teen female and bi-racial, looks more like the African American side of her family, her brother is in a coma due to a car accident, and she’s slowly falling for her brother’s friend. Oh, and she’s really grieving because she’s having a hard time dealing with what her brother, who was treated like an idol at her school, has done.
Somehow I managed to hit on all of the above in the first chapter.
I say all this, because I’ve decided to make The Saint of BOYStown one of my March Madness picks.
Or you can click any of three images below and read the same excerpt via Scribd:
The next book in this series features Justin Ybarra:
