Before I go into the Raptors thrilling game six win, here’s another promo I’ve created for my New Adult collegiate basketball ebook One on One:

Congratulations to the Toronto Raptors. Game 6 of the NBA Finals came down to the wire, with the Raptors winning a 114-110 victory over the Golden State Warriors. This is the first title for the Raptors, and they also made history with point guard Jeremy Lin:
“After the Toronto Raptors won the NBA championship against the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 on Thursday, point guard Jeremy Lin became the first Asian American player to take home a ring. Cleveland Cavaliers’ Jordan Clarkson, who is of Filipino descent, made it to last year’s finals, but did not take home a championship. ”
It’s important to note that Jeremy is the first Asian American, that’s why I have it in bold. The first Asian was Mengke Bateer with the 2003 San Antonio Spurs. The second Asian to win a ring played for the 2009 NBA Champs Los Angeles Lakers and his name is Sun Yue.
The Raptors Pascal Siakam also made history as the first player from Cameroon to win an NBA Championship ring.

I’ve had to rediscover my love of writing, due to my mom’s death and a change in my family duties. Books were put on hold, but I plan on releasing new ones this month. I thank all readers for your patience during this trying time.
What I love about writing is the ability to world build as I see fit (but still within the confines of reality when creating fiction based on real life). That’s why I’m excited about the upcoming New Adult offerings, like the basketball romance ONE on ONE.

Got treated to dinner and the film Aquaman by my family. We all really enjoyed the film.
Jason Momoa as AQUAMAN. Amber Heard is Princess Mera, and his love interest.
The visuals were great, and James Wan should be commended for his direction and vision on the picture.
Director James Wan. He was also at the helm of Fast and Furious 7.
Aquaman AKA Jason Momoa brought a playfulness and his usual smoldering hotness to the character.
Other standouts imho were Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Amber Heard as Princess Mera, Michael Beach as Manta’s dad, and Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna.

This movie features the beautiful and talented Naomie Harris as its leading lady, and musical superstar RAIN as the male lead. South Korean born Rain is the ninja Raizo, and the film contains an awesome nod to the past with legendary martial artist and film star Shô Kosugi
Rain was already a mega K-Pop star before he landed the lead role in Ninja Assassin. He trained for months, and grew his hair out for the part.
The Trivago guy (actor Tim Williams) is also an extra in the film (the task force officer who lets Mika give Raizo a drink of water) during the scene below:

So, I’ve been reading about the CHARMED reboot and the controversy. Still, I’m very happy for Madeleine Mantock (she’s been cast as one of three sisters, which is Into the Badlands loss after they foolishly killed off her character).

There was a time when black comedians were the hottest ticket in town. A comedic renaissance bloomed in the 60s, where a variety of different funny men and women tickled the fancy of American audiences. Let’s see, there was George Kirby (Kirby was also a master vocal impersonator), Nipsey Russell, Flip Wilson, Redd Foxx, Moms Mabley, Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby, Pigmeat Markham, Dick Gregory, Paul Mooney (also wrote for several other comics, like Richard Pryor), Scoey Mitchell, among others.
Female comics I recall watching on The Ed Sullivan Show included Totie Fields, Joan Rivers, Moms Mabley, Anne Meara, of Stiller and Meara (Ben Stiller’s mom), Phyllis Diller, and Carole Burnett. And of course CBS had the number one female comedian, Lucille Ball (who had other sit-coms after I Love Lucy, which co-starred her then real life husband Desi Arnaz).
I must also mention Jackie Gleason, Frank Gorshin (a wonderful impressionist) and especially the late, great George Carlin, talented funny men who were also popular back in the day.
The Queen of Comedy is the tale of a fictional black comedian, from her youth in the 1920’s, until she’s older and recalls the highs and lows of her career. One such highlight is her time at The Moulin Rouge, a real establishment that broke barriers. I’ve included links on The Moulin Rouge that are below the GIF:

There’s a lot going on in this book. There’s race, romance, economic disparity (and not just on the black folk side) That’s all I’ll reveal for now.
Excerpt:
Go away Tanner. Go far, far, away. He doesn’t. Instead of pulling out a chair like a normal person would, he leapfrogs over the top of the backrest and plops down next to me, with a tray full of food I’d never eat. I’m allergic to vegetables. I won’t eat rice with gravy, but I will snack on rice with butter. Tanner quizzes me on the lack of eats on my tray, to which I repeat that I’m veggie intolerant.
His eyelashes flutter downward and his fingers steeple as he says grace. There are teachers and other students watching, just as shocked as I am at Tanner’s transformation. When he stops giving thanks he starts in with questioning me. “No, really? You really can’t eat vegetables?” he asks, mixing everything on his plate together before shoveling the stuff in his mouth. It’s such a Cody-like move. I give him a nod of assurance that my lie is the truth. I also can’t stop gawking at all the different foods he’s mixed together.
One side of his face balloons as he tries to eat and talk. “Yeah, Cody convinced me and Justin to eat this way.”

His eyes darted from hers. “You are a woman who knows about men. Is this not so?”
“Er . . . yes, it is.”
“I want to know, I need to learn about women. How to-how to make them happy. How to pleasure them.”
She sat down on a white leather lounger that was so buttery soft her rear end bobbed in delight. Oh yes, she could get used to this. No more sleeping or walking across a cold floor, not when he’d revealed that all the floors were electronically heated. Her smile radiated warmth at the thought. “Okay, what are you into?”
Takeshi cocked his head. “What into?”
“What do you like, what do you fantasize about, what would you like to do to me right now?”
